Small Groups

Sunday @ 9:45 AM.

We believe a Small Group is a community of people who commit to growing spiritually and live intentionally alongside one another in the regular rhythms of life. These groups provide the primary context for discipleship at MBC. These are communities in similar seasons of life that are challenging and encouraging one another to take the next step in their discipleship pathway.

Young Adults & Married:

Adam & Kirsten McQuaig and Micah & Anjewl Compton

If you are a college student or young adult, this group is for you. It is designed to reach both single and married adults and focuses on the exposition and application of the Biblical text into life.

New Beginnings:

Cory & Angie Craver

If you are a young couple with or without children, you will enjoy fellowship in this small group. This group focuses on creating intentional moments for connection & community through time in class as well as through outside activities. This teacher-led small group dives into sermon discussion each week.

Feeders:

Asher & Karen Dozier and Adam & Brittany Morgan

If you prioritize time with others outside of a one-hour class on Sunday morning, you will want to visit this group! It is comprised of families with children. Each week, the class discussion dives deeper into sermon review and application. The focus is on support for living out the faith through shared experiences and mutual encouragement.

Real Life, Real People:

Darrien & Nancy Costley

If you desire a more intimate setting for exploring how the scriptures impact real life, you will enjoy this small group. It is made up of empty nesters focused on genuine, transparent dialog and supporting one another through the highs and lows of daily life.

College & Young Adult

Steve Knowles

If you are a college student or young adult seeking community and growth for your stage of life, you will find it here! This class is designed to reach young adults in the early life stages of transition from High School to the college and work environment. The goal is to meet you where you are and come alongside you in life. The class will follow the sermon series with discussion and dialogue to apply the Bible to your season of life.

Branches:

Shannon & Darlene Hudgins and Shane & Niki Waddleton

If you are looking for community as you navigate parenting college students or even the early phases of grand-parenting, you will find encouragement in this class. The class has a heavy emphasis on prayer and other in-reach opportunities as well as outreach through service and missions. The curriculum for this class is available throughout the week, then followed by class discussion.

Upper Room:

Charlie & Lynn Henderson

If a lighthearted, energetic atmosphere is where you feel most comfortable, this small group will be a delight to you. While the class welcomes all ages, most members are in the grand-parenting stage of life and 55+. The class uses Explore the Bible from LifeWay as the curriculum each week and fosters an open environment for sharing prayer concerns and actively praying for those concerns.
